SpielFabrique’s LaunchPad Programme: 2025.
Topic: Successful Application.
After I completed the Wild Galway Games Incubation programme, there were still some areas of my project: Chaos Riders, that I wanted to develop further, particularly regarding publishing opportunities. I had come across SpielFabrique’s European Videogame Accelerator (EVA) programme before, and so I thought it would be a good fit for what I needed at the time.
For my EVA application, I could use some of my previous application answers for the questions asked. This gave me time to edit my application answers, as well as to make our games’ trailer better. As such, my EVA application was less stressful than it otherwise would have been, and so I submitted it well on time.
As is the case with SpielFabrique’s programmes though, it was very competitive. As a result, I unfortunately did not get onto the EVA programme. However, given the competency of my application, SpielFabrique offered me a place on their newly formed ‘Launch Pad’ programme! The Launch Pad programme would still provide the support I needed, so naturally, I accepted their offer.
We started the Launch Pad programme on the 25th of March, and so far, SpielFabrique have proven to be very accommodating and supportive. I will share more about the programme after we conclude it on the 3rd of July this year.

It depends on your project, ambition and needs, but generally speaking, programmes like these are worth applying for. If you’re successful, not only do you learn about topics relevant to your project and business, but you build upon your ‘CV’ for future applications. If unsuccessful, you’ll still have your application, which can be iterated upon and used for follow-up applications, where the likelihood you succeed increases.
Those behind these programmes and their applications, generally look for individuals that are competent and determined. If you can demonstrate that you have a well-researched and realistic product/business idea, and that you’re willing to participate in programmes such as this one, the likelihood you succeed with your programme-based application increases substantially.
Of course, a good application needs to be well-researched and written also. That’s where we can help.
